COVID 19 Updates Monday 14th March

Kia Ora St Marys Whanau,

Today we have 20 positive child cases of COVID 19 in our community. We also have 50 plus children self-isolating because of household contacts.

I would like to wish those children and families a speedy and safe recovery and our prayers are with them.

I also would like to thank our community for keeping supporting us by following all the guidelines. It is a really tough time for everyone at the moment and we appreciate everything our community is doing.

The children have had a great day at school and we will see what tomorrow brings. We continue to have a few staff away as well so as I mentioned in the newsletter there are a few double-up of classrooms to see us through.

The positive cases are now spread out amongst the school with 2 children going home today after having got sick reasonably quickly.

We are continuing with our strict hygiene protocols and making sure our staff and children are safe and also happy and learning.

This Friday the children can wear house colours/mufti to celebrate our St Joseph/St Patrick’s day Mass. NO money donation this time. We will be watching Mass in our classrooms after having recorded Whanau Kelliher/ McIntosh on Thursday in the Chapel.
